I love settling in at home after a long day and watching a show or TV special that ties in with the season. That's why each week between now and Halloween I will be posting a list of notable shows that will either scare your socks off or, more likely, put you in the mood for fall festivities.
I have scoured the TV listings so that you don't have to, but if I've missed something special, please feel free to write about it in the comments section. Please note that I will not mention shows that I believe may be gory or involve violence.
This week's notable Halloween specials are as follows (check your local listings to verify show times in your specific area). There aren't too many, since Halloween is still a few weeks off, but there are still some fun shows out there:
Wednesday, Oct. 12:
- 7pm ET: Challenge: Spooky Cake & Candy on the Food Network (Five cake teams compete, making haunted houses, spooky pumpkins and more in a Halloween candy thriller). These Food Network challenges are always interesting and fun.
Saturday, Oct. 15:
- 10pm ET: My Ghost Story on BIO (The new season of the show begins, featuring people's first hand accounts of interactions with ghosts at haunted locations all over the world). I have never seen this show, but it sounds scary!
Sunday, Oct. 16:
- 9pm ET: Halloween Wars on Food Network (Teams compete in creating zombie and vampire themed "works of food.")
Note: I was not compensated for this post, nor have I viewed or reviewed any of the shows that are mentioned above. This post is for entertainment purposes only.
